Welcome to new viewers who are looking at this site as a result of the full page advertisement for the book in the programme for the musical MICHAEL COLLINS in the Cork Opera House.

Here is an opportunity to delight all MICHAEL COLLINS fans or indeed anybody interested in Irish history.  I have been given access to a vast collection of photographs relating to the Irish War of Independence and the subsequent Irish Civil War in the National Library of Ireland. I have been granted permission to publish these COPYRIGHT images (C) that are virtually unseen for the last 80 years, in my new book which has just arrived from the printers. The 110-page large format book which is A4 landscape size is printed on art paper with each of the 80 photos filling the entire page.

In an introduction to the book, Former Irish Prime Minister Dr. Garret Fitzgerald describes it as;- “A dramatic record of historic events between 1916 and 1922, bringing home to a new generation the tragic character of this part of our history.”   MICHAEL COLLINS FANS WILL LOVE IT!

In addition to the vast collection of previously unseen photos the book contains many interesting newspaper cuttings.

"It is a great book and the photos are excellent and well printed to a fine size. Good luck with the sales, but with such a fine book, I guess you will have to soon go to a second edition! Thanks again, Dermot."“What a lovely thing to come home to your book on a wet and miserable Tuesday in Dublin.  I am looking forward to cozying up on the couch with a mug of tea and the book. I hope it's a big seller. Kind Regards"

Siobhan

"I have just received your Michael Collins book. Many sincere congratulations. You must be very proud of this book as it contains some incredible images I thought I would never see. It is indeed A Fitting Farewell to a great Irishman. I wish you all the success you deserve for your toil in compiling an invaluable chapter in his memory".
